morning walk along road in protected area
along woodlands road, just before the bus-stop where the illegal peddling of cigarettes used to take place, there is a newly paved road that is not open to the public. as usual, my curiosity got the better of me, so i went to check it out this morning.
i parked my car near the villa verde park. i am sure very few people , other than those who live in the vicinity of the park, have heard of this place. from there i walked to choa chu kang link towards the stagmont road heavy vehicle park.
the road is meant for bi-directional traffic. there are arrows drawn on the road to indicate this. however, there are no lamp-posts along the whole stretch of the road, which i estimate to be less than 2km long. there are only, at regular intervals, posts with reflective plates.
actually this unused road can be accessed from a gravel road that, i guess, leads to jalan gali batu. there is a sign board that shows the direction to 'sdc'. i do not know what 'sdc' stands for.
when i reached the end of the road, i came to a high fence and a big sign that says 'protected area, no photography and no filming'.
