woodlands town park east

most people who live in woodlands have seen or been to the woodlands town park but not many woodlanders are aware of the existence of woodlands town park east which is bounded by street 13 and marsiling road. a historical hill - hill 130 - is located in this park. a path leading to the hill top is located behind marsiling secondary school.

the ramps and paths are lined with boulders, together with colourful periwinkles, japanese roses and balsam plants. if you are driving, you can park your vehicle in the hdb open car-park between blocks 105 and 108.

not many people exercise in the park, not even the residents of the blocks of flats in the vicinity of the park. there is not much open space but the hilly topography should provide walkers and joggers with a good work-out.

as i was driving home after my morning walk, i spotted one woman with her mother and two young children waiting for a taxi. i stopped my car rather abruptly and invited them for a ride.

i drove jenmeet, her mother, her son and her nephew to kaki bukit driving centre to collect her brand new driving licence.
